Keywords:
divorce, indonesia, domestic violence, K-means clustering, family policyAbstract
This study analyzes the divorce rate in Indonesia based on 2023 data using descriptive quantitative methods and secondary data analysis approaches. Data collected from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Directorate General of Religious Courts (Ditjen Badilag) show an increase in the divorce rate in various provinces, especially West Java, East Java, and North Sumatra. Factors causing divorce include infidelity, economic pressure, differences in life principles, and domestic violence (KDRT). The K-Means Clustering method is used to group provinces based on divorce rates and their causes. The results of the study are expected to provide effective policy recommendations to strengthen family resilience and reduce divorce rates, especially in areas with high divorce rates. This study also highlights the impact of divorce on children and the family economy, as well as the importance of government intervention through social and economic policies.
